Our Services

The Drug and Alcohol Office library is Western Australia’s specialist Alcohol and Other Drug related library and information service.

The Collection

The library has a wide range of books, journals, reports, Acts of Parliament, and videos on all aspects of alcohol and other drug related issues. A list of new resources purchased by the library is produced periodically.

Library alerts are sent out regularly by email to inform staff about new resources and current journal contents pages. Current alerts are:

Access

Members of the public, tertiary students and staff from other government agencies are welcome to use the library for reference purposes. Visitors to the Library are welcome but please ring first to make an appointment.

Membership

If you work for a non-government alcohol and drug agency and your agency is a member of WANADA (Western Australian Network of Alcohol & Drug Agencies) you are eligible to borrow.

Reference

Reference services are available for all work related enquiries.  The Librarian will search the Library collections and databases to obtain the information you need upon receipt of your request.

Interlibrary Loans

Requests for items not held in this Library may be obtained from other libraries if they are for work related purposes.  Use these forms to make a request.

Loans

New staff should contact the Library to register for borrowing. All items are loaned for a period of 4 weeks.
